Two Agave technicians inspecting rooftop units

October 20 and 21 hail storms

Hail hit your building. Let’s check your rooftop units.

Hail that size can flatten condenser coil fins and crack panels on rooftop AC units, and the damage is often invisible from the ground.

What hail can do to rooftop units

Most hail damage to AC units isn’t visible from the parking lot.

Flattened coil fins
Bent condenser fins choke airflow, so the unit works harder to cool.
Dented or cracked cabinets
Damaged panels and fan guards can let water and debris into the unit.
Problems that show up later
Higher utility bills, or a unit that can’t keep up when summer heat returns.

Why now

A dated inspection close to the storm date gives you a clear record of your units’ condition. Whether to file a claim is between you and your carrier; we provide the documentation.

About the hail estimates

Storm areas and hail sizes come from NOAA radar data and National Weather Service reports. They show where hail fell, not whether a specific unit was damaged. That takes an inspection.
